There are excellent road connections with all major cities in the region. It will take about 90 minutes (165kms) to reach Kavala by car from Thessaloniki. From Kavala you can take the ferry and after 70 minutes you will be on the Emerald Isle of Thassos.
If you travel from Thessaloniki to Keramoti you should exit the Egnatia Highway at Chrysoupoli, the journey takes two hours.

By bus
You can reach Kavala from Athens and Thessaloniki by KTEL Kavala. The service from the second largest city is every hour from Athens it is less frequent.

By airplane
For your server use the ChrisoupolisInternationalAirport. Athens-Kavala: Several scheduled flights daily (50-minute flight). The airport "Alexander the Great" in Chrissoupoli is 30km east of Kavala. There are also flights from major European cities, several times a week. The airport is 18 km from Keramoti, from where the ferry will take you to the main town (35 minutes). Go by taxi to the port of Keramoti (10 minutes) and the ferry and after 30 minutes you arrive at the jewel of the North.
